Boris Johnson says there is ‘no reason’ to think vaccine won’t work against Brazil variant
The prime minister says people should not be overly concerned that a new coronavirus variant, first seen in Brazil, has been found in the UK. He added that Public Health England have advised that there isn't a threat to the wider public.
The new variant is thought to be more contagious, and there have been concerns current vaccines might not work as well at preventing it.
