Animal Aid says reindeer are 'exploited' at Christmas

Animal rights activists have written to garden centres urging them not to use reindeer in their Christmas events.

Animal Aid said it is "cruel" and teaches children that animals "are mere props and decorations".

Hearts Delight, a garden centre in Manningtree, Essex, said they have had reindeer from the neighbouring farm for 10 years and this is the first complaint.
