Dover woman discovers stowaway on drive

A Kent woman who returned home from her shopping trip to find an illegal immigrant sitting on her drive has been speaking of her shock - but also her sympathy for the man she found on her doorstep.

Jacky Goodfellow, from Elvington near Dover, said she gave the the 23-year-old Eritrean crisps and chocolate to keep him there until police arrived.

She told BBC reporter Simon Jones she felt sorry for the man. Dover District Council leader Paul Watkins said it showed Dover still had problems with border controls.
