Croydon scheme aims to free up hospital beds

Hospitals are under increasing pressure to solve underlying health and care problems faced by elderly patients.

A scheme in Croydon, south London, is an example of attempts to try to prevent older people ending up in hospital in the first place.

BBC London's health correspondent Karl Mercer spoke to NHS England's Anne Rainsberry and looked at efforts to free up hospital beds by providing better aftercare in the community.
