Covid: 'I was released from prison during lockdown'

Charities which help offenders try to break the cycle of crime say reaching people has been even tougher during the pandemic.

During lockdown, 37% of prison leavers in the capital were released homeless or to unknown circumstances, according to the Ministry of Justice.

One Londoner who left prison in June described what it was like to be released at the height of the crisis.
