Manchester student becomes Chanel model after street scouting

A student who ended up being part of Chanel's Metiers d'Art show after being stopped by fashion scouts while walking with friends to a fast food restaurant has said the whole experience felt "almost dreamlike".

Ezra Hashi, who had not modelled before, was spotted in Manchester in the run-up to the fashion brand's huge show in the city.

The event saw Ezra and a host of other models brave the elements as Manchester's Thomas Street was turned into a catwalk for one night only.

The 18-year-old, who has ambitions to be a lawyer, said the fashion house also posted pictures of her modelling their clothes online on her birthday, which had been a "really good present".
