Battle of Atlantic events planned
Up to 25 warships are set to visit Liverpool to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Battle of the Atlantic.
The city was home to the Western Approaches Command, which co-ordinated the effort to protect merchant shipping from the German navy in World War II.
The ships will visit as part of a series of events to mark the anniversary from 24-28 May.
A cathedral service will take place on 26 May.
