Young churchgoers in 'Popacabana' trip

Young Catholics from Merseyside are set to join more than three million Roman Catholic youth in a meeting with Pope Francis in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The event runs from 23 to 28 July in an event that has been nicknamed "Popacabana".

The Liverpool Archdiocese group leave on Wednesday and will spend the first half of the pilgrimage living and working with local families in the Archdiocese of Niteroi close to Rio de Janeiro.
