Video game recreates steam train journey from Liverpool to Crewe
Designers of video game which recreates a steam train service from 1958 hope it will inspire young people to volunteer with heritage railways.
The simulation allows the user to drive a locomotive on a 36-mile (57 km) journey from Liverpool Lime Street to Crewe station in the age of steam.
Its creators researched newspapers and photographs to build an accurate image of landmarks the route passes.
