Villagers' delight as A11 Elveden bypass opens

Residents in Suffolk have spoken of their delight at the opening of a new bypass, which they say will mean less traffic in their village.

After a slight delay, the first stage of the upgraded A11 has opened in Elveden. It will mean the bulk of traffic no longer has to go through their village.

The bypass is part of a multimillion-pound development which is due to be completed by December.

BBC Look East reporter Ian Barmer visited Elveden on the day the new road opened.
