RNLI footage shows battle against Eastbourne Pier blaze

Footage that shows lifeboat crews joining in the battle to save Eastbourne Pier has been released by the RNLI.

The film was shot by a crew member on board a Newhaven RNLI boat positioned near the pier during Wednesday's blaze.

Members of East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service are shown alongside lifeboat crew members battling the flames.

Sussex Police have said they believe the fire may have been started deliberately.
