South Shields: 'Not lost' cat visits Aldi car park every day

Benji the cat gets reported missing numerous times a day when people find him strolling around his local supermarket.

Rachel Doran, from South Shields, has now tried to raise Benji's profile so people know he is not lost.

Rachel said she has had to get "if I'm in Aldi I'm fine" printed on his tag.

There are also "not lost" posters asking people not to feed him, and his bustling social media presence means he is now recognised often.

Rachel thinks that over the summer he wandered from his house to the nearby Aldi car park and must have been well fed, because he comes back daily.
