Killer John Hirst's call for prisoners' votes

John Hirst, who was convicted of manslaughter, explains Parliament has no choice but to give the vote to all prisoners to comply with a European ruling.

But former MP and ex-inmate Jonathan Aitken said there 's no call for prisoners to get the vote and commentator Jon Gaunt said it's a good reason to have a vote of the UK staying in Europe.

Mr Hirst has taken the UK Government to court on prisoners' votes, and there is a debate in Parliament on Thursday afternoon.
