Yvette Cooper on sex offenders' law: 'Priority must be public safety'
Thousands of sex offenders in England and Wales are set to be given the right to appeal against having to register with police for life.
Speaking in the House of Commons, Home Secretary Theresa May said she was "appalled" by the Supreme Court decision.
Shadow Home Secretary Yvette Cooper said the "depravity and seriousness" of sex offences meant that protecting the public must be paramount.
