Jack Straw's battle to reduce age of consent for gay men
Former Home Secretary Jack Straw recalls the battle to bring the age of consent for gay men in line with that for heterosexual couples after Labour came to power in 1997.
He spoke to Giles Dilnot about the "horrible right-wing semi-fascist" climate, and not just from his political opponents, and "the great day" when it was changed.
This is part of a series of interviews, entitled Change Makers, in which the Daily Politics talks to people who have radically changed Britain.
