Cameron and Miliband address UK riots

David Cameron has promised a "social fightback" in response to the widespread rioting and looting in England last week.

In a speech in his Oxfordshire constituency, the prime minister said fixing Britain's broken society was back on the agenda.

But the Labour leader, Ed Miliband, has dismissed his response as "gimmicks" accusing Mr Cameron of "reaching for shallow and superficial answers" rather than the lasting solutions that the country needs.
