UK economy: advice to government to help businesses

City AM editor Allister Heath and Will Butler-Adams from the Brompton Bicycle Ltd offer their views on how the UK's economic fortunes can be lifted.

They spoke as a survey found one in seven shops in the UK have been empty for a year and some areas have up to a third of their retail standing empty.

And the Chancellor has admitted that growth would be sluggish for the foreseeable future while some warn of a double dip recession. Giles Dilnot reports.
