PMQs: Cameron and Miliband on jobs and employment figures
Labour leader Ed Miliband told David Cameron people were not interested in his spin on the work programme, but were asking: "where are the jobs?"
The prime minister said 500,000 jobs had been created in the private sector since the last general election and a coalition programme would see changes to council tax, corporation tax and petrol duty.
They disagreed on whether youth unemployment was falling or rising under the last Labour government as they clashed on job figures on the day unemployment rose by 80,000 to 2.51 million in the three months to July.
The jobless rate now stands at 7.9%.
