Liberal Democrat conference: Sir Menzies Campbell on euro currency
Sir Menzies Campbell used to support Britain joining the euro but said it was now off the political agenda and would be for some time.
He previously thought it was the "proper thing to do" and his party has been committed to a referendum on Europe.
The party's former leader also backed Palestinian efforts to gain full membership at the United Nations.
