A-Z of Parliament with Quentin Letts: P for PMQs

Quentin Letts works through the alphabet of the strange world of the UK Parliament as he looks at P for Prime Minister's Questions, better known as PMQs.

He enjoys some archive footage while explaining the history of the weekly duel which dates back to the 1960s and has been televised since the late 1980s.

And it should answer a question regularly asked by Daily Politics viewers: why MPs stand up during the 30-minute event most Wednesdays.
