Miliband: first Labour leader at Durham Gala since 1989
Ed Miliband became the first Labour leader for 23 years - since Neil Kinnock went in 1989 - to address the Durham Miners' Gala.
Mr Miliband praised the celebration of mining history and march through Durham as "a great North East tradition" and claimed the coalition government had "lost a generation of young people".
Fergus Hewison reports.
