Maria Miller: Editors 'positive' on regulation plan

Prime Minister David Cameron has met the editors of national newspapers at Downing Street and told them they need to set up an independent regulator "urgently''.

A new watchdog was one of the main recommendations of the Leveson Inquiry into press standards.

The meeting was organised by the Culture Secretary, Maria Miller, who said editors had responded positively.

She added that she expected to see progress on a plan in the next two days.
