Miliband: Labour united against 'tax on strivers'

MPs will debate the coalition's plans to cap the annual rise in benefits to 1%, lower than the current inflation rate of 2.2%.

Ministers argue that it is unfair for payments to go up by a higher percentage than wages but Labour says the measure will actually hit working families and intend to oppose the move.
