Local elections for council seats in England and Wales
Millions of voters will get the chance to take part in local elections in some English councils, one Welsh authority and two mayoral elections on 2 May.
John Curtice, professor of politics at the University of Strathclyde, explains what the major parties could - and should - be looking to win and lose on the day.
He joined Jo Coburn to look back to when these same seats were last fought in 2009 and 2005.
