Prof Heinz Wolff: Care4Care scheme helping older people

A pressing challenge facing society is how to care for an ageing population in austere times, but a television scientist offers his own cashless solution.

Professor Heinz Wolff, has proposed the Care4Care scheme, with people who help out others today receiving the benefit back years later, when they are older.

And he hopes more than one million volunteers will be attracted to the scheme offering assistance, such as taking others for a walk, cooking meals or help with the shopping in the inflation-free project, based on time, not money.

The famous academic will be a guest on Wednesday's Daily Politics on BBC Two around 12:40 BST to debate his film with MPs Norman Lamb and Emma Reynolds
