Recall powers: Zac Goldsmith against government plans
Coalition plans over how Members of Parliament could be removed are "very dangerous" and could lead to MPs being "stitched-up", a Conservative has claimed.
Zac Goldsmith said the recall powers used in other parts of the world were a "wonderful thing", but the UK government proposals did not give power to voters.
He is campaigning against the coalition recall plan which he claimed was "worse than where we are today" and that if it went through voters would realise they have been "duped by a government terrified of real democracy".
