Hague: The UK has 'learned lessons of Iraq'

Foreign Secretary William Hague has said there are "many parts" of the government's Syria strategy in play despite losing the Commons vote to take action.

Speaking to Andrew Marr, Mr Hague said the issue was more about the use of chemical weapons than specifically about Syria.

To that end, the government had "learned the lessons of Iraq" and was not "gung-ho about military action".
