TUC's Frances O'Grady on party funding and union links

The "real dirt in politics has not been tackled" said the TUC general secretary, who reckoned people were more concerned "about the grip that people in The City have over politics".

Frances O'Grady said the TUC, and most of its unions, were not affiliated to the Labour Party, as she was asked about links between the two.

She said voters wanted to hear "a real agenda for a fairer more equal Britain and how we are going to get there", including fair pay, more jobs for young unemployed people, and ensuring any recovery goes into pay packets rather than City bonuses.
