Ed Miliband sets out Labour EU referendum policy
A Labour government would call an in/out referendum on the UK's membership of the EU if it was being asked to transfer more powers to Brussels, Ed Miliband has said.
The coalition government has already enshrined in law a so-called referendum lock, which promises a vote on whether to transfer further powers to Brussels, but not on whether to leave the EU.
David Cameron has already pledged an in/out vote in 2017 if the Conservatives win the next election.
