Nick Clegg 'proud' of Budget income tax cut

The deputy prime minister told the BBC he was especially pleased the coalition has "over delivered" on the Liberal Democrat's flagship policy of raising the point at which income tax was paid.

Nick Clegg told the BBC News Channel: "I'm extremely proud of what we've presented for savers, for workers, to make sure that we keep energy intensive industries in this country employing thousands of people."
