Winter floods report: Dan Rogerson and Anne McIntosh
There will never be enough money to cope with floods, said the MP who chairs the environment select committee.
But Anne McIntosh called for an end to the "artificial distinction" over spending budgets, with one overall pot of money to counter flooding, and also see more money spent on dredging and maintenance.
Daily Politics reporter Eleanor Garnier also spoke to Flooding minister Dan Rogerson, who explained the investment in projects to counter flooding, after MPs published a report into the winter flooding saying keeping waterways clear had been a "Cinderella" activity.
