Assisted dying: Care minister Norman Lamb changes view

Minister for Care and Support Norman Lamb has changed his position on assisted dying, criticising the current "confused" system.

Lib Dem MP Norman Lamb said he had changed his mind after speaking to relatives of people who had suffered, and that he was clear there would be "very clear safeguards".

He told BBC's Newsnight that his view was a personal one - not a ministerial one.
