Liberal Democrat conference: David Laws on Clegg survey
A BBC survey that found only a third of Lib Dem candidates want Nick Clegg on their election literature "does not reflect the views" of most MPs and candidates, said the party's education spokesman.
David Laws told Andrew Neil that he would be "very proud" to have the party leader on his leaflets, when they looked at results of a BBC Sunday Politics/ComeRes poll.
And Mr Laws said that "nobody is going to dictate to the Liberal Democrats who leads our party" when asked about possible future coalition talks, and the role of Nick Clegg.
He listed some of the party's plans to cut the deficit, and claimed "it was a hell of a lot more" than Labour or Conservatives could do.
