Immigration minister: 'Rate of change is unsustainable'

Immigrants from the 10 countries which joined the EU in 2004 contributed more to the UK than they took out in benefits, according to a new study.

The report by University College London's Centre for Research and Analysis of Migration says they added £4.96bn more in taxes in the years to 2011 than they took out in public services.

The Immigration Minister James Brokenshire says the report is focused on too narrow a range of data. He says levels of net migration are too high and not sustainable.
