Nigel Farage: UKIP promises 'extra £3bn' for NHS

UKIP have announced that they will provide an extra £3bn per year in NHS funding. The money will be directed squarely at frontline services.

The party also said it would cut £2bn "wasted on health tourism" by ensuring migrants and tourists have health insurance as a condition of entry.

The current NHS deficit is estimated to be £2bn.

Speaking on the BBC's Andrew Marr Show, he said: "We would promise an extra £3bn a year for the NHS, funded out of the fact that we will not be paying daily membership fees as members of the European Union."
