Ken Clarke: 'Tone of Theresa May's speech was all wrong'
The tone of Theresa May's party conference speech on immigration was "all, all wrong" according to Conservative heavyweight MP Ken Clarke.
The home secretary unveiled a reform of the asylum rules, pledged to reduce the numbers claiming in Britain and said high migration made a "cohesive society" impossible.
The former cabinet minister told The Andrew Marr Show he was a fan Mrs May but said Britain had a "tradition of giving refuge to people fleeing from war".
