Hammond on Brexit: 'Can't have cake and eat it'
The Chancellor Philip Hammond has said there has to be "give and take" on both sides in any negotiation. He made the comments as Theresa May signed the letter that will formally begin the UK's departure from the European Union.
The Chancellor told the Today programme the UK will not be full members of the European Customs Union and that that will carry consequences. He added that we can't have our cake and eat it.
