Recycling should be simpler, say Lords

The system for recycling should be made simpler with one system - including the colour-coding system for bins - across all local authority areas, peers have said.

During discussion of the issue in the House of Lords peers said there was confusion about what could be, and could not be, recycled.

A deposit system for plastic bottles, paid back when the bottle is returned, was also suggested.
