Starmer pledges that Labour will build 1.5m homes
Sir Keir Starmer has pledged to “get Britain building again” as he told his conference he would “fight the blockers” who are stopping developments as rents rise.
He spoke of building roads and power stations more quickly and of "more beautiful cities, more prosperous towns".
The leader added that "sometimes the old Labour ideas are right for new times".
