Starmer opens Kings Speech debate attacking government record
Sir Keir Starmer opened the King's Speech debate saying the government plans offered “party first, country second gimmicks".
The Labour leader said the Conservatives would see low growth, high tax and crumbling public services, with the prime minster "serving up more of the same",
The debate is set to last several days on the bills outlined in King Charles lll's address.
