Michael Gove on Suella Braverman: Being home secretary is tough
Suella Braverman has worked "incredibly hard and also incredibly constructively" with the police, former justice secretary Michael Gove has said.
Speaking ahead of a planned march calling for a Middle East ceasefire in London on Armistice Day, Mr Gove - who is now Levelling Up secretary - said being home secretary was a “tough position”.
He told Political Thinking's Nick Robinson that police were ”operationally independent” and if they felt a march could go ahead, their professional judgment should be respected.
