Dominic Grieve says Michael Gove's criticisms of EU 'unfounded and untenable'
Justice Secretary Michael Gove's claims about the European Court of Justice undermining the UK's security are "unfounded and untenable", a former Conservative attorney general has said.
Dominic Grieve said the suggestion that the court interfered in the work of the UK's intelligence services was "simply wrong".
He told the BBC's Radio 4 Today the justice secretary was "labouring under a very serious misunderstanding" of the way the EU worked.
