Baby ashes mother: 'I will never know her final resting place'

A report into the baby ashes scandal at Mortonhall crematorium in Edinburgh has concluded that many parents will be left uncertain about their child's final resting place.

Madeleine Cave's daughter Megan died when she was two weeks old and was taken to Mortonhall. Like other parents affected, she says she will have no closure: "I don't have any hope, I will never ever know what happened to my baby's ashes. I will never know her final resting place."

The inquiry into Mortonhall crematorium followed the discovery that between 1967 and 2011 staff had disposed of the ashes without telling families.
