Is Scotland right to ban GM crops?

The Scottish government has announced a ban on genetically modified crops, after ministers said they were not prepared to "gamble" with the nation's £14bn food and drink sector.

The use of GM is a controversial issue, but supporters say crops which have been modified to withstand the likes of disease and pests are important, given the growing world population.

The BBC's Scotland 2015 programme spoke to two farmers - one who supports the option of GM crops, and another who is opposed to their use.
