Karen Buckley's father says 'Karen was our angel'

A man has pleaded guilty to the murder of Irish student Karen Buckley who disappeared on a night out in Glasgow in April.

Alexander Pacteau appeared at the High Court in Glasgow on Tuesday morning.

Speaking outside court Karen's father John thanked the police and the people of Glasgow for their help in finding Karen.

Mr Buckley said: "He is truly evil and we hope he spends the rest of his life behind bars", before adding "Karen is our little angel and she is at peace now".
