Double Wimbledon champ Gordon Reid hopes to inspire others

Gordon Reid, who won the men's wheelchair singles and doubles tournaments at Wimbledon, has said he hopes his success will inspire other disabled athletes.

The Scot had a busy weekend, taking the doubles title with partner Alfie Hewett on Saturday and then making history by claiming the first men's wheelchair singles title on Sunday.

Wheelchair tennis has been played at Wimbledon since 2001 but this is the first time men's and women's singles have featured.

Speaking to BBC Scotland, he described it as an amazing feeling which he hopes will inspire other disabled athletes.
