Benefits failures fuel food bank demand, says Oxfam Cymru
Charities are calling for an urgent parliamentary inquiry into the link between changes to the benefits system and the growing number of people going hungry.
A report compiled by Oxfam and Church Action Against Poverty says that last year across the UK as a whole foodbanks were used by half a million people - three times more than the year before.
Julian Rosser, head of Oxfam Cymru, claims up to 50,000 people were using food banks in Wales.
He told Nelli Bird of BBC Radio Wales that many find themselves using food banks due to failures in the benefits system.
