50 years at Llanelwedd for Royal Welsh Show
The Royal Welsh Show celebrates 50 years at its permanent home at Llanelwedd in Powys this year.
Before that it travelled around Wales but a series of events marred by bad weather made organisers rethink.
Landmark events included a visit by Archbishop Desmond Tutu during South Africa's apartheid era.
Gilbert John takes a look at the show's history at its permanent home.
