Caerphilly council bosses in pay probe appear in court

Three top managers from Caerphilly council have appeared in court following a police investigation into pay rises given to senior staff.

Chief Executive Office Anthony O'Sullivan, his deputy Nigel Barnett and the head of legal services at the council Daniel Perkins appeared at Bristol Magistrates Court.

All three are accused of misconduct in public office.

They are due to appear at Bristol Crown Court in May.
