'Substantial' fall in violence, says Cardiff Uni study
The number of people who attended hospital for injuries caused by acts of violence has fallen to its lowest level in more than a decade, Cardiff University researchers have found.
A survey of over 100 accident and emergency departments, minor injury units and walk-in centres in Wales and England suggested there was a 12% drop in 2013 compared to the previous year.
Researchers said there were a number of possible reasons for this, including changes in alcohol habits.
The study's lead author Professor Jonathan Shepherd spoke to Mai Davies on BBC Radio Wales.
